Prospective Juror
Dear Prospective Juror
The office of Joel Forbis, Randall County District Clerk, is responsible for providing a qualified pool of jurors to ensure the right of all citizens to a trial by an impartial jury. Randall County is now using a 24 hour-a-day jury management system called I-Jury. This system allows you to complete your jury questionnaire, to respond to a jury summons, to post-pone your jury duty date, to request a qualified exemption from jury service, and so much more. We understand that jury service is often a considerable sacrifice that everyone makes in the interest of justice. We are happy to be able to provide you with this tool in order to hopefully save you time and postage, and to allow you to complete your jury requirements online at times which may be more convenient for you. Thank you for participating in the process of jury service. Citizens who fulfill their jury service obligation are continuing a tradition established under the United States Constitution over two hundred years ago. Indeed the right to a trial by an impartial jury of one’s peers is an integral part of the foundation of American democracy. It is through each individual’s civic service that our justice system, our nation, and our community are made stronger. Thank you for your service.
Sincerely,
Joel Forbis
District Clerk
Randall County, Texas
